The Nokia 6500 Classic is more than just a thin and very stylish phone.It has no card slot but has it's own internal 1GB of memory.
Not only is this a good looking phone but for a 3G is very thin at under 10mm and light weight at less than 100g. We love the one piece aluminium casing.
No Video Calling?
The phone handles downloads via 3G but lacks the ability to use video calling as it only has one camera for pictures on the rear, no front mounted one. The aforementioned rear camera is of the currently ubiquitous 2.0 megapixel variety. It takes reasonable snaps and is helped in low light by the flash.
Memory
As already mentioned the internal memory is comparatively huge at 1 GB, which most people will use for music and snaps. The microUSB allows easy connection to a PC or use as a headphone socket. The music player sound quality is excellent which is an improvement on fairly recent Nokia offerings. Most other features such as calling and texting are similarly easy.
Limitations
Although it has outstanding internal memory the Nokia 6500 Classic has no microSD expansion card. The other limitation bearing in mind that this is a Nokia is the lack of an FM radio tuner. Then there is the battery life which is lower than similar modern 3G phones.
In Summary
Stylish, slim, easy to use 3G Nokia. Free on most contracts.
