This phone may share a model number but its look and features are very different. The Slide's focus is definitely on technological functions than out and out style. In some ways the 6500 Slide pays in terms of physical stature.
A phone with a strong media player needs storage and although the 6500 Slide only has a 20MB internal memory BUT has a microSD slot capable of handling 4GB cards, sadly it comes supplied with a 256MB version. The media player itself is quick and easy to use which is a plus compared to previous versions and looks better. The headphones are OK but not great.
Being a 3G phone it has an additional front camera for video calls. The main camera is a very good offering being 3.2 megapixel with Carl Zeiss lens. Combine this with autofocus and flash and you get a camera that can take really quite good pictures, a cut above standard camera phones.

The Nokia 6500 Slide's most brag-worthy feature is its TV Out socket. Connect upo to your TV with the supplied AV lead and your phone has a massive display an exact mirror.
With all this technology the 6500 Slide in stark contrast to the Classic turns out to be quite a chunky beggar. Overall though a good to excellent phone.
